Navigating – always tricky business….. Especially for a control freak such as myself. 2014 has certainly brought along some due change of direction for me – let me tell you, moving country is not for sissies…..
The best way to navigate through life is to give up all of our controls.
Well, just looking at the image above, made me think just how much water has flown into the sea, since moving from South Africa to the States, 8 months’ ago. Traumatic, yes. Uncertain, yes. Unsettling, most certainly, YES! But, what it has also taught me how ‘light’ one can actually live. No need to fill the void with ‘stuff’. Trust me, once you need to start packing-up your life, you quickly realise how ‘stuff’ was making your life unnecessarily full and complicated. I feel as free as a bird – it is totally liberating. I’m most certainly appreciating every single thing/person currently in my life. Thanks for ‘filling’ me with all that I have ever needed!
Only thing I might invest in, is a nice old vintage map, just to stick-up on the wall as a reminder as to how far I’ve come and to know that the journey is never really finished. Come to think we all need a map up on the wall, to serve as a subtle reminder that the journey is on-going and a joyride. So, with no further ado, herewith some beautiful ways to remind you of your own journey.
Excited to see where the next chapter might lead to. I’ll keep you posted….
